​Autohaus Storage is proud to offer this beautifully restored 1968 Ford Fairlane ZB 500, finished in its original factory colour, Peacock Green (Paint Code: C). Inside, the interior has been fully refurbished and presents like new. In February 2025, the interior was further upgraded by GM Millane—Perth’s premier auto upholsterers—ensuring the cabin matched the exceptional standard of the exterior restoration. The original black vinyl trim (Trim Code: B) has been professionally replaced with the highest quality reproduction pleated upholstery, complemented by new carpets, floor mats, armrests, handles, and sun visors to complete the interior transformation.

The exterior is equally impressive, having undergone a recent nut-and-bolt restoration. A new black vinyl roof, GT-style chrome wheels, whitewall tyres, and a rear Venetian blind all contribute to its classic period-correct look. With just 10,708 ZB Fairlanes built, this is a rare opportunity to own a fully restored, rust-free piece of Australian motoring history.

Under the bonnet sits the matching-numbers 302ci V8, paired to the smooth 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine bay has been detailed and presents well. Recently pit passed and now registered in WA, the Fairlane starts effortlessly and cruises with confidence, assisted by factory power steering and a new exhaust system.

On the road, the Fairlane glides like a limousine, floating effortlessly on its long wheelbase. It’s easy to see why these vehicles were the sedan of choice for business tycoons and country travellers alike. At the time, Ford caught both GMH and Chrysler napping—the Fairlane was a purpose-built limousine-style four-door, while their rivals simply offered stretched versions of their standard family sedans.

The sale includes the original seat trim and interior parts, receipts documenting the restoration, and a reproduction sales brochure. The current owner notes the dash clock is currently not working and some brightwork would benefit from a re-chrome. If sold within WA, the custom plates ‘68ZB302’ will be included with the vehicle.
