Autohaus Storage is pleased to present this rare and highly collectible 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SE W111 Coupe, an elegant pillarless grand tourer from the golden era of Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship. Finished in timeless Havana Brown with tan leather upholstery, the cabin is complemented by beautiful walnut dash and timber trim throughout, showcasing the opulence and hand-built quality for which the W111 Coupe is renowned.

Designed by legendary Mercedes-Benz stylist Paul Bracq, the W111 Coupe remains one of the marque’s most desirable post-war classics, combining graceful proportions with exceptional engineering and understated luxury. The W111 Coupe and Cabriolet models represented the final generation of largely hand-built Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and were produced in comparatively limited numbers.

Only 235 right-hand drive 250SE Coupes were produced, with just 86 examples originally exported to Australia. This particular vehicle was supplied new in Balwyn North, Melbourne in 1967 and was acquired by the current owner in October 2020. It was subsequently transported to Perth, where it passed inspection for Western Australian registration in November 2020.

Powered by Mercedes-Benz’s sophisticated 2.5-litre inline six-cylinder engine with Bosch mechanical fuel injection, the 250SE delivers smooth and effortless performance through its automatic transmission. Factory options and features include air conditioning, power steering and cruise control, making this an exceptionally well-specified touring coupe for its era.

Accompanying the vehicle is an outstanding collection of original documentation and factory literature. Of particular note is the remarkably comprehensive Mercedes-Benz dealer service history accompanying the car. The original service records commence from its first recorded service at just 189 miles in 1967, with consistent Mercedes-Benz dealer servicing documented approximately every 3,000 miles through to 104,866 miles in November 1978.

A subsequent service booklet issued by Lanes Motors in February 1979 continues the documented servicing history through to 143,716 miles in May 2009. Under current ownership, further maintenance and mechanical works have also been undertaken, with the odometer now displaying 147,211 miles.
