Autohaus Storage is pleased to present this exceptional New Old Stock Ferrari 308 Quattrovalvole (QV) V8 engine, a genuine unused factory powerplant and a rare opportunity to acquire one of Maranello's most iconic naturally aspirated V8 engines.
Purchased by the current owner in 2010 and retained as a spare engine for his Ferrari F40, this engine was originally supplied through Maranello Concessionaires. It was acquired due to the close engineering relationship between the 308 QV and F40 V8 engine families, with certain major components understood to be interchangeable.
Presented exactly as photographed, the engine number 103536 is visible on the cylinder block together with original casting and component identification markings consistent with factory production. Original cam covers, intake plenum, ignition components and ancillary equipment remain fitted, making it equally suitable as a collector display piece or strategic spare for a significant Ferrari collection.
The 308 Quattrovalvole represented the final and most advanced evolution of Ferrari's iconic transverse-mounted V8 fitted to the 308 GTB and GTS. Featuring four valves per cylinder, Bosch fuel injection and dual overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, the QV combined improved performance and drivability with the unmistakable character of Ferrari's classic naturally aspirated V8.
Unused Ferrari V8 engines are exceptionally scarce, with most spare units long since consumed through repairs, competition use or restoration projects. As a result, genuine New Old Stock examples are highly sought after and this engine represents a unique opportunity for the discerning collector or enthusiast.
